No, you can’t really “delete” RAM on a Mac. RAM is temporary memory that clears itself when you restart the computer. If your Mac feels slow, restarting it or closing apps that are using a lot of memory can help, but deleting RAM isn’t something that improves performance. In my experience, checking which apps are consuming resources has a bigger impact than anything else.

I have tried different approaches to clear RAM on my Mac when my computer became slow. Restarting the Mac is one of the best ways since it resets the memory management. It is possible that clearing RAM might help increase performance temporarily, although sometimes closing applications which consume lots of memory becomes more useful.

If my Mac begins to slow down, I clear RAM on Mac by shutting down unnecessary applications and performing a reboot. Most often, this will be beneficial for making the system run faster later on. However, repeated sluggishness may also suggest something else, for instance, insufficient storage capacity or high resource usage by programs.

It is helpful to learn how to clear RAM on your Mac because sometimes, the Mac becomes too slow and requires more speed. In my experience, clearing applications and rebooting the computer offers the greatest increase in speed.
